Abstract

The paper analyses metaphors of war used in contemporary Russian and British media discourse for depicting post-Soviet politics in Russia and the Baltic States. It is argued that the revealed difference in the frequency of Russian and British military images correlates both with national pictures of the world, target-domains and current political situation.
