Abstract


The words with meaning ‘dislike’, ‘hostility’ and ‘hatred’ in Russian, Polish and Czech are compared in the article. The author pays special attention to the Czech word zášť, which means impotent rage, thirst of revenge and has no equivalents in Russian and Polish.
