Abstract


In the practice of teaching any language as a foreign language, pronunciation as a part of the educational process plays an important role in defining quality of mastery of a nonnative language. The listener can learn to speak and write competently, not making, in an ideal case, any grammatical or stylistic mistakes; but if the pronunciation «limps» acquired knowledge comes to naught regarding realization of linguistic skills in the oral form of speech; the same can be said of studying Russian. For this reason the present article is devoted to the qualitative sign structure of phonetic transcription as one of the factors in forming correct pronunciation.
