Спортивная и игровая метафорика в российском и американском внешнеполитическом дискурсе

Abstract

The paper analyses metaphors of sport and game involved in the modern Russian and US political discourse on foreign affairs. It is argued that the established frequency of Russian and US sport- and game-related images attests to the fact that those are deeply embedded in the conceptual system of both nations.
