Abstract

The paper focuses on the notion of globalization in the texts from the year 2010 found in "The Corpus of Contemporary American English". The context analysis of the adjective "global" reveals its typical collocations and semantic spheres and demonstrates the negative semantic prosody of this word in the modern English speaking world.
