Abstract


The following article presents a comparative study of the main Russian and Bulgarian word forms that play the role of predicates and function as adjuncts of manner. Some differences have been found between the two languages, related to the somewhat larger number of such word forms in Russian, as well as the extent to which some forms are used, as determined by the formation of deverbatives in the grammar systems of Russian and Bulgarian, competition from other linguistic means having the same function, and some other factors.
